About Casey (She/They)

Casey is a 37 year old Queer Woman who loves Mermaids, Billie Eilish and Kirtan. Casey is from Bozeman, Montana originally and has called Tucson home for the most part since 2000.
Ever since Casey was a child, they wanted to be a teacher. A change maker. Someone who sees people deeply and guides healthy change for the highest and best.
Casey grew up in rigid and eclectic spirituality/ religion of the I AM teachings which includes channeled messages from Buddha, Jesus, St. Germain and many other ‘Ascended Masters’. Moving to Tucson in 2000 with her Dad, brother and then stepfamily was a huge transitional time and restart in many ways. For many years Casey traveled back to Montana at least once/year to visit her Mom, who eventually moved to Tucson. Casey’s family has been some of the most challenging relationships to reconcile and continue to be ripe with opportunities for humility, boundaries, grace, and individuation. From a very young age, Casey was exposed to various places, cultures and healing modalities and initiated into magic and energy work as a teenager. Casey has always been highly sensitive, intuitive and passionate about healing and change.
In high school Casey took special classes in business, writing and public speaking even though she was very quiet and shy. Casey began at Canyon Del Oro and then moved to the East side of town halfway through. Casey excelled in school and graduated in 2005 from Sahuaro High School in Tucson, AZ.
In 2012, Casey graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Arts Cum Laude with a unique self-designed degree of Interdisciplinary Studies. Casey’s chosen areas of focus were Art (mainly painting and photography), Psychology and Integrative Health. She wanted to learn about the mind, body and spirit and practical methods for transformational healing through creative exploration. Diving into studying Psychology of Religion and Spirituality, Psychology of Happiness, Sensation and Perception and Advanced Health Psychology was incredibly fascinating and informative. Studying Art Therapy as a modality, Casey has made art to process and transform inner and outer worlds from a very young age. She wrote papers on affirmations, essential oils and Nature vs. Nurture. Casey successfully completed two Internship Programs, one assisting a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction program Internship with Christina Romano, Licensed Professional Counselor, MEd, LPC, LISA and the other teaching Nutrition and Health classes to underserved communities and in Women’s shelters through the Pima County Cooperative Extension Program.
Casey fell in love with Yoga as a practice in 2010 and after graduating from the U of A, took a life changing trip to study traditional Yoga In Kovalam, Kerala, South India and then returned for the second level of training at the same School in 2016. Casey has been practicing and teaching yoga ever since then and has a passion for trauma sensitive modalities, pranayama, meditation, yoga philosophy, Kirtan and nervous system regulation.
