Here’s what you need to know
What is Coaching?
Coaching is action oriented strategy based personalized support with a variety of elements depending on the coach and the client. Accountability and changing actions are key. Every coach is different and I use a multidisciplinary approach that includes energy work, somatic practices, co-creative strategy and deep inquiry.
Is coaching therapy?
In some ways they are similar however they are distinct from one another. I am not a professional therapist AND the services I offer are therapeutic in nature. If you have experienced any sort of trauma and/or deal with any mental health issues I always recommend therapy alongside coaching. Coaching is not a replacement for therapy. Coaching is action oriented and focused on specific goals while therapy (often times) is more focused on processing emotional and psychological challenges in a more general way.
How do I know coaching is for me?
Do you feel lost or stuck? Do you feel like something is missing that your friends, family or therapist cannot provide? Do you keep coming up against the same patters or challenges that keep you from your dreams coming true? If so, coaching might be for you.
Coaching might not be for you if:
*You’re stuck in a victim mentality and committed to not doing your part
*You’re unwilling to be consistent in showing up for real change
*You want more excuses to play small
What is mantra?
Mantras Casey uses are usually in Sankrit but they exist in many language. They can be spoken or sung and offer a resonant, meditative energy that is quite soothing and calming for the mind. Kirtan is a group Bhakti yoga (the yoga of love and devotion)practice in which we sing mantras together, call and response style. -
How is your yoga different?
I was trained in traditional Hatha and Kundalini Yoga in South India at the School of Santhi. That knowledge and experience is woven into everything I teach and do. This includes philosophy, opening and closing mantras, teaching style and my own practice. Trauma sensitive approach is very important to me as well as honoring each persons individual journey and their agency.
How do you incorporate live music and singing?
I love to play music during yoga classes when someone else is teaching and weave in mantra during restorative classes and savasana.
